Repertory Chorus

This treble chorus is made up of students in grades 9-12, and meets everyday during period 4 from September to June. Students enrolled in this course will develop the ability to sing quality repertoire from the Renaissance to Modern periods of music. Through a logical instructional sequence that includes proper breathing, healthy tone production, accurate pitch, diction, expression and sight-reading ability, students will learn the fundamentals of singing.

Repertory Chorus performs in three major concerts throughout the school year: the Holiday Concert in December; the Spring Choral Concert in March; and the Pops Concert in May.

All incoming freshmen with treble voices who are recommended by their middle school chorus teachers are eligible to participate in Repertory Chorus. Each February, all students in Repertory Chorus have the opportunity to audition to participate in Concert Choir for the following school year. The audition includes singing your part to an SSA or SSAA piece we are performing, sight-reading, and ear training assessment.
